Mayako Yuasa
I work as a licensed guide, so called
"Kyoto Visitors Host"
Hello, I'm Maya.
I was born and grown up here in Kyoto. I've spent time in Mexico and Great Britain as a student. I've been guiding many guests in English and Spanish. I'm also licensed in tea ceremony and Japanese flower arrangement, and besides guiding, I run a tea ceremony workshop for foreign visitors.
The characteristic of my guiding is the use of "Original Materials." I guide not only with words but also with handmade materials — old maps, historical writings, photographs, and Japanese woodblock prints — to help you enjoy Kyoto with its deep history and background.
To offer an itinerary that suits each guest perfectly, I always send a questionnaire before making the plan. According to your interests, schedule, conditions, budget, and requests, I make the best itinerary just for you. If I could be your guide in Kyoto, I will do all my best to make your days very comfortable, interesting, and enjoyable.
I look forward to meeting you and showing you around!
